Canada Day Weekend
My Internet has been down all weekend. Not that I had much use for it, given what a great weekend it was.
I picked up Colleen and Joshua early Friday morning and we went down to Gorge Park for the Canada Day Kidsfest. It wasn't quite as fun as it was last year, but we still had a great time. They had the inflatables set up and Josh went through them each a couple of times. Colleen was more into the petting zoo and all the soft furries that were there. We stayed there for a good part of the day, eating lunch and enjoying the sun.
The kids started to wilt from the sun in mid-afternoon, so we left the park and took off to the Caprice to see "Herbie Fully Loaded". It was nice and cool inside and the movie was pretty much what you'd expect from a Herbie movie LOL. We grabbed some McD's (Ugh) on the way home and watched a double dvd feature of "Alladin" and "Willy Wonka". We were all asleep before the end of the second movie.
Saturday morning we had breakfast and then spent the morning down at Saxe Point playing along the rocks down by the beach. The kids really like going there. It's kinda cool to have a little slice of nature so close to home. They headed home Saturday afternoon and I won't see them again for a couple of weeks. I've got to take off to San Fran on Tuesday and it will be about a ten day trip. It's too easy money to pass up. I'm going to try to configure the laptop again (LOL), and take it with me on the road, but I'm not holding my breath.
See you when I see you.
