Mr Deeds

After working on a horrible job all day long, we arrived back at the office absolutely gassed. We walked in and the old lady across the street was there, and apparently her landlord just threw all her stuff out over the yard over some money owed. Well, we hopped in our trucks, drove over there, loaded up her things, and got her put away in a storage locker. It was a small gesture for us, but it had an amazing effect on her. She brightened right up, stood up straighter, it was a beautiful sight to see.

My problem with all this is what kind of person throws a little old lady out on the street. Whether or not money is owed shouldn't really be the issue. To be so callous and heartless and still call yourself human is an insult to the rest of us. I hope that when Karma strikes you, that there will be someone around to help you out. Maybe then you will see what an ass you've been.

Anyways, that was my feel good story of the day. Remember, if you see someone who looks like they could use a kind word or gesture, someday they could be you.
