Father's Day
Today I had exactly what I wanted for Father's Day; my kids spending the day with me. We didn't do a whole lot, but then again we didn't need to. Just being with them was enough. Looking back on my own father, I know that although any man can be a father it takes that something extra to be a dad. My father was the perfect role model for how not to treat your children. It's my motivation in being the best parent I can to my kids.
Thanks for the great day Colleen and Joshua. You make me proud to call myself a dad. Thank you also Lindsey, for growing up into a fine young woman, showing me that I can have a positive influence. I love you all with all my heart.
See you when I see you.

I find that parents often are role models for how not to parent...each generation seems to improve a little most of the time. With all the stories I have heard about yours and my Mom's dad, there is definetly a lot of improvement in parenting.
