Assorted Stories

In the time since my last post life has gone on. Nothing of great importance has happened, just life in general. Slo-pitch season is in full swing, with my PCL team already off to a spectacular 0-2 start. We got killed the first game 14-3, and dropped the second game 12-8. Personally, my stats aren't that bad. I've started off 5 for 6 at the plate and my fielding has been adequate. The Blueballers begin play with an icebreaker tournament at Vic West Park this weekend.

Hiking has continued with a couple of long, and at times a little scary trips. Got stuck on the side of Mt. Finlayson last weekend when a friend and I decided to attempt to scale the steep face without benefit of any equipment. There was quite a few hairy spots, and after we'd made it to the summit we decided that this wasn't too smart and would not be done again LOL.

Gave myself a present this week by buying an MP3 player to carry all my tunes with me. I bought a 30 gig Samsung for $500. It sounds just great and it holds all of my music files plus has the ability to hold video and digital photos. Every once in a while it's nice to spoil yourself LOL.

Kids are doing great. Easter weekend was spent quietly around the house. I made a decision this year that the true meaning of Easter doesn't include chocolate (much to the kid's chagrin LOL). So the bunny didn't stop at our house, instead we celebrated just spending time together.
