Early Morning Sunday Morning

I actually have to work today, so I came in early to get my bloggin' on. Went for a rain-soaked, mud-filled night hike around Thetis Lake last night. It was silent, a little eerie, and felt absolutely invigorating.

I've got a trip to Seattle coming up mid-week. It's only an overnighter, but any overtime is welcomed on payday LOL. It's not a huge load, so it's like three days pay for three hours work. Not too bad a deal if a do say so myself.

I'm thinking if today's job doesn't go too badly I may try another hike tonight. I'm emptying a women's fashion store in Mayfair Mall so it's mainly walking. That and avoiding all the shoppers LOL.

Any ideas on a particular blogging subject are always welcome. They can be left below on the comment board, or sent directly to tdavies1966@hotmail.com

Just Another Post

Another long and uneventful week of work is now ended. Next week will at least be a little more exciting with a trip to Seattle for Tuesday/Wednesday in store. The entire town will be gripped with Seahawk Fever so there should be some fun to be found.

My children are coming over tonight and tomorrow we are planning to make a day hike around Francis King Park. The path is mostly level and there are lots of interesting things to see and do along the trail. It sure as hell beats sitting around the TV, LOL, like they try to talk me into all the time. Maybe a walk along Dallas Rd will be in the cards too.

Watched "The 40-Year Old Virgin" last night and It's one of the funniest movies I've seen in a bit. I wonder how long one has to practice abstinence before one can proclaim themselves to be a B.A.V. (Born Again Virgin) LOL. Might be a good line to use LOL. As far as lines go, at least.

Anyway, just a little ramble to kill a few minutes before I go to pick up my chillins. Peace to all.

See you when I see you.

Resolutions Broken

My resolution to keep up on keeping up on my blog has gone the way of the cabbage patch kid. It's not as if I'm really busy or anything, it's just that without connectivity at home I'm not as enthusiastic to blog at work. I've found that I'm making more of my time now that I'm not connected, and now that I'm making a conscious effort to stay away from television. I'm enjoying a lot more outdoor time, hiking, walking, etc. My soul is feeling a lot more refreshed, and my outlook has become even more optimistic.

SMILE........Pass it on

See you when I see you.

New Year's Resolutions and the Decline of Western Civilization

Another year has ended, another year has begun. What 2006 holds only God and "they" can say. Another round of resolutions, made, broken, re-made, and then finally discarded LOL. I myself don't subscribe to the resolution making process, I think it puts too much pressure on a single date to do something. If you really want to quit something, a "line in the sand" isn't the best way. That being said, New Year's Eve 1999 was the year I finally quit smoking (Yeah Me!!).

Spent a quiet New Year's at home with my kids. We watched Toy Story 2 and waited for the turning of the clock. New Year's Day we went for a long, refreshing hike up Caleb Pike. Also went up to Lone Tree Hill on a night hike the other night. The view of the city at night from the summit was well worth the stumble up the side of the mountain in the dark. Amazing light show!!!

So, this year I resolve to have more resolve LOL. To update my blog in a regular fashion LOL. To finish reading the half dozen books I've got open and lying around my house LOL. To treat everyone I meet with the respect and compassion that could make a difference in their day. To love my fellow humans.

See you when I see you.
