Post X-Mas, Pre- New Year

Wow!! Has it really been that long since I've posted? I guess it has. I mean, the computer never lies. Does it?

It's been a very busy month or so since my last update. With the Christmas season and all, I found myself a little short on time and energy for posting. Maybe that should be my New Years resolution, if I was one to make those silly things. It seems to me that every time a resolution is made, it puts pressure on the makee. So, I officially abstain from resolutions. But, if I were to make one, it would be to keep up with my blog LOL.

I took a pre- Christmas trip to Calgary to make some extra cash to buy some good presents for the kids. Calgary is still the same, cold and drab. Wintertime is definitely not the time to go to Alberta LOL. It was successful as far as the money making was concerned, but anyone who knows me knows that money doesn't drive my world. It's a necessary evil as far as I'm concerned. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like more of it flowing my way LOL.

I also saw the most important movie I've seen in a long while recently. "An Inconvenient Truth", a movie about the dangers to our planet due to global warming. I thought I was informed about this issue, but the movie showed me just how wrong I was. The rate in which the ice caps, etc. Are evaporating makes this a problem that has to be dealt with now, rather than left for future generations to handle. It's a very informative movie, presented by former U.S. President-elect Al Gore. At least he was the President-elect until that idiot from Texas and his cronies stole the election. Money really does buy anything, doesn't it? LOL. I've always considered Al Gore to be just another politician who happened to be married to the woman that introduced warning labels on music so many years ago. LOL. He comes across as an articulate and passionate spokesperson for an extremely important issue. If you haven't seen it, you owe it to yourself to become more informed.

Once again, apologies for my sluggardness when it comes to posting, but my Internet access is now solely through work. I found it was taking too much time away from the real world having it at home, and I was right.

So my New Year's resolution (if I was to make such nonsense) is to keep my faithful readers informed on my super-exciting adventures. Keep reading and have a safe and happy holiday season.

See you when I see you.
