New Kicks....New Sticks

Started this golf season off by treating myself to some new gear. New shoes, Nike waterproofs. New irons, Cleveland launchers. New putter, Nike Ignite. And a new bag, Mizuno featherweight. Now, if only I can use these ones better than my last set LOL. I've tried them out twice at Royal Oak with varying degrees of success. I'm just waiting for a good weather day to take them out to Olympic View. Overall though, I'd have to say I already notice an improvement over the ol' Nitros.

See you when I see you.

So. Cal

Back in town after spending a week in Southern California. Although the weather was a LOT nicer there (t-shirts and shorts, high 70's) I'll take the people of Victoria any day. There seems to be an over-abundance of rudeness there. Maybe it was just the people I encountered, but it's just doesn't come off as friendly as it is here. I got to see some places I hadn't been yet. Santa Barbara was probably my favorite new spot. Plus, I was able to go back to my favorite American city, San Diego. The temperature there rarely changes from the low 70's, the scenery is beautiful, and even the people are more congenial LOL. Came off the boat from Port Angeles right into some of that good ol' Victoria rain.

There truly is "No place like home".

See you when I see you.

Guess who's back ?

Well, it's been about a month and a half since I last posted, so it'll be a bit of a chore to update my fabulous life. I'm just returning from Kelowna, where I helped move my little sister. Now it's off to California on Sunday. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

I've been to Calgary, Canmore, and Kelowna since my last post. All work related, and all bloody cold. At least by travelling south I should be in for a bit nicer weather.

Golf game has been going quite well these past two months. Getting in lots of rounds. mainly at Olympic View (my favorite course) and Arbutus Ridge. I've been driving the ball consistently, and my iron play has gotten stronger with the practice. If I could only harness my putter I'd be in line for some great scores.

Kids are doing great!! Joshua's 11th birthday was a fun time. He came over and we went for a hike around Francis King Nature house and then for a walk along the Breakwater.

Colleen is also doing just fine. Enjoying middle school. Man, do they grow up fast!!

Lindsey had a flood in her new place, so tomorrow I'm going to help her get into a new place.

Everything else in my life is pretty much status quo. Same old, same old.

See you when I see you.
